D-Barb, Cutting & Hook Remover For Fishing

Not sure but will keep trying

Have tried to remove hooks from rays and 'some other like fish' with no success. The problem I see is that getting the right angle to grasp the hook is difficult if the hook can not be seen. Additionally, when I first received the tool, I tested it like the video showed - still no success. Perhaps the hooks I use are made of some secret metal that can't be cut by the tool; or the cutting 'teeth' are to dull to cut. I even tried it on some old cheap rusted hooks and had to use excessive force (that I wouldn't waste time or effort on while fishing) to cut off the barb.

Waiting for a replacement

Ordered two. One is defective. I called and spoke with a gentleman who said he was emailing a label to return it. I still have not received it. But, I believe they may be affected by the hurricane that just hit. When things settled down, I will make another attempt to return the defective one.

I can’t go on enough about this tool! I am about to order several more for gifts!! I was able to save 2 fish yesterday from being injured or killed by using this tool! It is so easy! I repaired my lures with new hooks and the fish get to be returned safely! I love it!!!
