Overall, the Wild Top is an awesome product. It feels very well made, and everything from shipping to assembly and the appearance of the product is as advertised. The only issues I would mention are: 1) certain steps of the assembly were a bit challenging. In particular, having to drill the holes myself in the connection points on the roof support braces was not ideal. It went smoothly, but I would expect these to be pre-drilled in a product of this quality. Further, using self-drilling screws and not having pre-drilled holes to attach the support bars makes this a risky step in the assembly process, as I was concerned that I could cause unnecessary damage to the frame. 2) I would recommend using cross bars for the roof rack that are compatible with common roof rack transportation systems (Thule, Yakima, etc.). I often have to transport at least 2 kayaks, and the bars are not wide enough to fit them both. As such, I have to install a Thule kayak carrier, and it is extremely challenging to find one that fits on the 2” square bar. While the crossbar is strong, it would be ideal if it would allow for easy installation of a third-party rack system for users who require it.

Great Fit & Solid Upgrade for My Ranger

I installed this WildTop soft truck cap on my 2025 Ford Ranger, and it fits the 5 ft bed perfectly. The material feels durable, the frame is sturdy, and it holds tension well even at highway speeds. Installation was straightforward — everything lined up correctly, and I was able to get it fully mounted in under an hour. It also keeps the bed surprisingly dry during Oregon rain. Overall, this is a great value and a clean look for the Ranger.
