This awl for Japanese stab binding
I bought this awl at Liberties Papers last week.
I have always wanted to make thicker journals with Japanese stab binding, as a difference from my usual Coptic bound daily journals.
I discovered an excellent tutorial on YouTube that explained how to do it. It used the idea of splitting the front cover to allow the pages to fold over.
For this design I needed to punch through back and front cover and at least 40 individual pages.
I bought this awl at Liberties papers last Friday.
I am delighted with it.
I can punch through the covers easily and at least 10 pages at a time.
I highly recommend this product as a companion for your bookbinding hobby
