Inconsistent Sizing

I ordered the Saige wide leg crop in white online, hoping it would fit exactly like the Saige wide leg crop in black I had bought at retail. Unfortunately, the waist sizes were inconsistent. I returned my online purchase, and ordered another size, hoping I would get a good fit. Again, the waist did not fit, and I returned my purchase. I was very disappointed and wondered why the pant sizing could vary so much. It makes online purchases difficult to make.
