I'm new to bait casting, although I've fished for over 60 years, so I was leary of buying one. Because of your ads, I decided to try it. When I had it set right, absolutely no backlash without my thumb on the spool. I tried it out at a small pond in my neighborhood and caught 2 fish! without really trying to fish, just practicing my casts. That's a good sign!
