Peacock Mandala Printed Wrap Skirt

Pretty Peacock Skirt for my Cruise!

I originally bought this skirt, not knowing that this was a maxi size skirt and I had asked DGY if they had a tea length- I'm 60 inches tall and no taller, so I'm very much a short person, so the length of the peacock wrap skirt made me disappointed... Until I got the skirt delivered in the mail. When I opened it in my unboxing video on YouTube, I was SHOCKED- it's so pink, flowy, rainbow-y, and GORGEOUS! It broke my heart to think that I would have to part with it if it was too long in the hem of the skirt. I don't like tripping on the hem! However, when I immediately tried on the skirt over my ribcage area, it wasn't too bad length wise. It fit my midsection perfectly, like wearing a cloud or making it a very empire waist dress style of Jane Austen... I love this skirt SO much! Thank you, Darn Good Yarn, you're fabulous!

Peacock Skirt

When I first received the skirt, I was disappointed, defined a broadband of pink, running through it about the level of the calves. I thought it would look different just like the DGY photo.But I wore it anyway, and I decided that that band of mostly pink made a nice accent. One of my friends was so traced by the skirt that she bought me a peacock pattern purse to go with it.

Not what I expected, but it’s sort of pretty

I’ll be honest, when I purchased the peacock skirt based on the ads on Facebook and on the DGY website, I expected pink and purples, and I expected to the skirt to look exactly like it did in the ad. Much to my surprise and chagrin, when I received the skirt, it was not even close to those colors. The only saving grace is that it’s a lot of bright colors and I do like bright colors, but I’m just disappointed overall that it wasn’t as described.
