Finally! My husband grew up eating licorice, real licorice with extract from the roots, not anise (nothing wrong with anise, unless you are expecting licorice, and get anise instead 😊). He is absolutely thrilled with all of his gifts that have a high percentage of real licorice root.

Very enjoyable
I love the texture of the black cats, somewhere between a hard candy and a gummy. The balance of licorice potency and sweetness is very good.
