Soft and stylish

The Newport Cardigan is my new go to sweater for every season. Warm and stylish enough to wear with a sundress as a cover up for chilly summer evenings and cozy enough to wear in air conditioned airports for summer travel. This cardigan will take me right through the summer into Fall and Winter.

Oversized and Cozy, Yet Pills Quickly

I’m 68, 5'8", 145 lbs, and purchased this sweater in a size Large. It’s definitely oversized — I probably could have gone with a Medium — but I ended up keeping the Large because I genuinely love the style, the shape, and even the roomy, slouchy feel. When I first put it on, it felt like a hug. I bought it for a trip to French Polynesia and only wore it on the plane (four flights total). The rest of the time it hung untouched in my cruise closet. It has never been washed. So it’s with real disappointment that I have to say: it pills badly. After such minimal wear, I wasn’t expecting that. I still love the design, but the pilling is significant, especially given how little I’ve worn it.

Really like the slouchy and relaxed cutting, material is soft and comfortable - no itchiness at all.
