Blind Date with a Horror Book

Surprise book was very surprising and that's my bad lol

Well I'd rate the book itself 1 star but it's my fault for getting it because I accidentally checked the wrong boxes for my preferences. So that's on me. But based on the preferences I did choose, I read about 10 or so chapters and I can say that it was definitely on point so I think someone who likes those preferences probably would really like it. I ordered another box with two books to make up for my mistake and to have a good read with my lovely snacks and hopefully another cup of what happens to be one of my favorite teas.

I loved my box! I read a lot and was worried I would receive a book I have already, but I was given a brand new one which I can’t wait to read! I look forward to my next box!

Magical Literary Wizards

I’ve received two boxes from Blindly so far and I’m beyond impressed! This is my first time ordering a “blind date with a book” subscription box, so I started incredibly vague by ordering a Scorpio box. Upon opening the box, I was immediately struck by the care and quality of the snacks, self care items, stickers, and handwritten note from the team. My grandma used to send me care packages with each surprise wrapped individually; the love in the box was reminiscent of hers :) The first book wasn’t a great match - this is NOT Blindly’s fault! They did a great job guessing what a Scorpio might like with zero information about the Scorpio in question. For the second box, I included my StoryGraph account and the next book has been a slam duuuuuuunk. I can’t believe how well they pinpointed my interests and gave me a historical fiction horror with a trans main character. All my favorites bound into one?!? Y’all are magical literary wizards.
