I ordered these pliers to perform a repair on my tractor; a repair that required removal and installation of a retaining ring. The working area had very poor access and visibility. The solid construction of these pliers allowed me to securely grip the retaining ring during disassembly and reassembly. Flimsy pliers would have made the job nearly impossible.
