It seems that the narrative kept repeating its self. Going over things that were covered once then repeating latter on. I am now lost between books as there was no linking between the stories. I haven't finished the rest of the books yet.

Well paced stories as well as stand alone piece. If you're into this type of story I would recommend these as they tend to keep you reading with no real fluff to detract from the story as a whole.
