TRIUMPH® TRAVEL SPINNING RODS-RETIRED

I own several St Croix 4 piece travel rods, and I've been targeting larger and larger fish while canoeing, especially pike and lake trout, so I decided to add the Medium Heavy to the collection. The rod does a great job of keeping large pike pinned during aggressive takes right next to the boat and when the fish is pulling drag hard. It also has the spine for larger 3/4 oz spoons, bucktails, and cranks, but is lively enough to get good casting distance with lighter, smaller cranks and spinners as well.

Nice bit of kit!

Seems to be very well made, high quality item. I have a 50+ years old 7' St. Croix boat/pier rod which I still use today. This goes together well and seems sturdy. Casts true and smooth. The real test will come when I finally land something!

This rod is really nice I’ve used several times and caught over 12 trout with is in a small lake up in the mountains of northern New Mexico Yes it was catch and release and no barb hooks Looking forward to lots more fishing with this rod.
