Best vitamin D3 drops

Is quite inexpensive. But the dosage that it recommends does not contain much vitamin D3 and I’m curious why it’s such a low dose that’s recommended. I prefer to take a low-dose, but all the other vitamin D products have so much more vitamin D. Does anybody have the answer to this?
