The original arm connections to the main body became loose at the hinges and the arms would pop up frequently. the arms became more loose over time, as the hinge connection stretched and the fit of the glasses became unstable. The glasses would fall completely off my face if one of the hinges popped off, which would be very unfortunate on a multi-pitch climb. I ordered replacement arms and thus far the connections to the glasses have stayed stable and firmly connected. I'm happy that they are staying tight, but it seems like a design flaw to not have a secure mechanical connection at the temples. Normal screw connections at the hinges seem preferable for long term functionality. otherwise, the belay glasses are great and I really appreciate the range of view angles.
