MakerMade CNC Router

This router is much quieter than my old craftsman one and makes it much easier to maintain depth consistency when swapping out bits. My only drawback is that the collet is a little difficult to remove when swapping bits since it is firmly seated when nut is tightened.

ROUTER/SPINDLE

So far the spindle has worked as expected, hopefully it will outlast the Makita. I decided to take it easy on the spindle not worrying about chip load, I think that trying to get chip load to where I would like it is too hard on this type of spindle. So if my tool bits do not last as long I can live with that rather than pushing the spindle too hard. On the first few 1/2 hour runs I got a 25 degree F temperature rise, but as the bearings are seating themselves the temperature is dropping, I like the collet, sadly I gave a way a whole set of collets when I sold my smaller machine, oh well. Overall am pleased, delivery was excellent, packaging was a little light, the box had been dropped and the collet nut had come out through the box. Price was very good. I took out the Makita router that was installed and put it in a box as a back up machine. This will be my go to machine if it has a reasonable life span. Thank you, keep up the good work.
