My phalaenopsis plants' favorite pots
My phals appear to love these beveled pots. I've been using them for about 2 years (bought first ones elsewhere then discovered more sizes and better price at Quarter Acre). The plants in them have matured faster, with more extensive root systems, than those getting the same care in other clear pots. The narrow shape, and rigidity of the plastic, allows the plants to anchor themselves against the sides quickly and firmly while the depth provides volume. Roots tend to find the corners, widen into them, and travel straight downward, creating a strong framework that supports the top growth. Pots are also very stable standing on a surface. If you plan to display in cachepots, this pot shape does require a taller cachepot or some spacer material inside a larger one of more standard proportions.
