Bittersweet Moment

I adore these soaps and would love to buy more, more often however, the price for the products plus added postage, negates this option. On this occasion, I bought the large sample pack as a gift for a close friend. My disappointment on receiving of the package reinforces why I don’t buy these soaps more often. Firstly, the samples were much smaller than they appeared in the pictures on the website and secondly, the packaging was pretty ordinary for the overall price of $56.00 (incl postage). A single piece of raffia to tie them together, swimming loosely in a cardboard box with a small piece of soft paper lightly wrapped around them. I get these are luxurious soaps and handmade, but I question both the high price tag and the additional $13.95 for postage, this being a bit of a price gouge as most places charge $9.95 within Australia and packaging is usually far superior. Considering the soaps only last roughly one week of use, it’s a very hefty price tag for most to afford. Sometimes I think, the turnover sales would be much higher if the cost was more affordable and appropriate. In all, as I said earlier, I would ultimately spend triple of what I do spend on these soaps, IF the price was more realistic. I still love them though.
