This shawl is quick and easy to whip up, and I found an added hidden bonus in that it can be customized in any number of ways,. Since the shawl is worked to a dimension, stitch count really isn't critical. I've experimented with different weights of yarn and size hooks, the possible combinations make for an almost endless variety...lightweight for warm weather, heavier weight for a cozy fall or winter piece. My first one was made with King Cole Cherish; it's a variegated DK yarn that worked up beautifully. I'm not a big fan of tassels, but for this shawl they do work, and with this design I have option of none at all, or replacing them with fringe or a decorative scalloped edge. Great fun, lovely and practical - this is a keeper!
