Simple winter-friendly single-hose freshwater installation
Seems to work fine as an undermount fresh water tank. It doesn't seem to impart any taste into the water. When I first installed it without anything in the vent holes, I would lose half my water within an ahour of highway driving. So I stopped at a Home Depot and bought 3 1/2" male-threaded plugs, drilled a tiny hole in each of them and plugged all 3 vent holes. Now the water stays in the tank. I wanted to fill through the slider door with no outside fill port. I already had a 1 1/4" fill hose knocking about so I drilled a hole a suitable hole through the floor near the back end of the slider opening and threaded the hose though this hole. It comes up into the kitchen cabinet that partially blocks the door and which contains my winter fresh and grey water jugs under the Ikea single sink. My USB-charged bottle pump hose drops down through the 1 1/4" fill hose into the tank. It takes about 2 seconds for it to bring the water all the way up to full flow but once flowing, it works great. Super-cheap winter-friendly pumped water solution.
