I have a small office upstairs, which is cold in winter and hot in summer. Living off grid, I wanted an efficient unit, so my solar and battery system wouldn't have a large load. I installed the unit myself (I'm handy), though it needs an HVAC professional to do the final install. I paid $500 for the unit and $500 for the install (your costs may be $1K - $2K). There are units which a typical home owner can complete 100% solo- this isn't one of them and they may or may not call out those important details. Once running, the unit is super easy to use and does an amazing job at heating and cooling!
