A house or car key will fit into the headband, but it does not have room to securely carry anything else. I bought this more to keep hair out of my face and like that I could carry a key if I wanted to. I love the design and color. Anything that helps me go about my day without dragging a purse with me is a good addition to my personal safety arsenal.
