Woollen Breton-style Cap

Okay for the price

The quality was about right for the price but taxes and shipping pushed the final price up too much

A comfy cap, great for day-long wearing indoors or out

I followed the advice of some other reviewers about comfort and chose this one over the more expensive version that Nauticalia sell, and for comfort I've no regrets. As a baldie I frequently wear a cap much of the time, both indoors and out, and the Breton is perfect for doing so. It's super snug for winter wear, but my scalp never overheats. The cap fits snugly so there's hopefully little chance of it blowing off in a gale. But on that point, do measure your head carefully and make sure you order the right size - fit and comfort depend on that. As for the missing 5th star - the knot that fastens the plaited bands across the peak came undone and wasn't fixable. I pondered returning it but decided it wasn't worth the hassle and kept it and just cut the two loose strands off. So now it has just as single band, but that's barely noticeable and doesn't affect the cap's wearability. So the crunch: would I recommend the Breton cap, and would I buy it again? Yes to both of those, without hesitation.
