Pentax 30mm XW Series 2" Eyepiece (70537)

Fabulous!

I used my Pentax 30 mm for the first time last night. The eyepiece provides a wide view that is clear right to the edges. Very comfortable for long viewing times. I am very happy with this purchase, which was recommended by Allstar in place an eyepiece that wasn't available. Excellent!

Excellent eyepiece

This 30 mm eyepiece has excellent contrast and plenty of eye relief. It works very well down to f/6, stars are sharp over the whole field. Bonus, at least for my old eyes: if you unscrew the eyeguard, the eyepiece accepts a Dioptrx astigmatism compensator!

So clear

I’ve used this eyepiece in a Celestron 10” DOB and older model Skywatcher 120mm x 600mm short tube refractor and get amazing views from both. I only have a Celestron Omni 25mm plossll and Super 25mm eyepiece to compare this to and this Pentax blows them away! The wide FOV and the clarity makes star gazing enjoyable. If you want the WOW factor, look no further.
