Less Ghostly, More Grungy
This opening is an herbal punch to the face. A real sinus-clearer, so apply with caution. The opening has a traditional cologne tanginess, and doesn't really feel unisex at all. I also found that the opening had a strong plasticky-mildewy odor at first. Quite rough and earthy smelling, not very pleasant. Smells a bit like a mix of crushed moss, plastic fumes, and dad's cologne. A weird potion of toiletries, dirt, and garbage you'd make in a bucket out back as a kid. Also had an uncomfortably strong old spice vibe. Doesn't feel particularly special, and smells like a stereotypically masculine fragrance through and through. After about half an hour, it starts to develop an old dried-out carrot greens note. Very dusty smelling as well. Stays pretty consistent over a five-hour wear, with a musty-medicinal odor that has just a splash of cologne sourness. About two hours in, it goes from weird acrid dustiness to a sour herb cocktail skinscent, with very little projection. Gets more pleasant with time, but there's an underlying fungus-y pungency that just ruins it for me.
Overall: Mold, herbs, and old spice slapped in a blender. Very grungy and dirty spin on the classic barbershop cologne scent, in a literal dirt-from-the-ground sense. It's a no for me, since better fern and nature fragrances are available at better full-bottle price points.
