TSPROF Pioneer 2026 Sharpening Kit

Sharpener is great works very well. Just not satified with the base level stones that come in the kit. For the price of the sharpner i was hoping to achieve a more polished edge. My basic worksharp $70 guided system will produce a polished edge but this one doesnt. I know you can upgrade to better stones but after seeing the price on those and what ive experienced so far i will most likely use a different companies stones.

Solid built sharpener system

Bought the basic Pioneer all black 2026 model that was on sale. Bought also with kit the L attachment and case for it. After using it on a couple of knifes I can say it really is a simple easy set up to sharpen my edc, pocket knifes. Use it to sharpen a couple kitchen knifes. End up upgrading parts to pioneer by buying the extended guide rod, the extended guide arm, height adjuster, and foldable base. Now it a maxed out GE pioneer version. The height adjuster and folding base got it off amazon for half the price each on a special sale had to buy it. Added all upgrade to sharpener and it’s better than ever. Once I wear out stones going to buy the alpha stones with hard case for them. Very happy and pleased with this unit. If you’re getting started on sharpening knifes and on a low budget you can’t go wrong with the basic Pioneer. But must warn you it’s a bit of a learning curve to get knife razor sharp and time consuming. I know because I use to use a Wicked Edge sharpening system for years.

Rock solid

This is a great sharpener. I upgraded from a work sharp precision adjust and it is a big change. The stability of the pioneer makes for an extremely consistent and sharp edge. The whole unit has no play of any kind, it feels like one solid piece of formed metal. It was a very worthwhile purchase.
