Cooking with cast iron is new for me. I cook eggs every morning, got tired of soaking the pan for two days, and decided to take a chance on the Field Company pan. What really sold me was the lighter weight, which I can verify. Cooking eggs has now become kind of a fun thing for me. I've had the pan for almost 2 months now, and while the eggs don't slide around the pan yet (this may be because I usually overcook the eggs!), cleanup is an absolute breeze. When the pan cools off, I wipe the pan, then give it a gentle once over with a little dish soap and soft sponge. Heat it on the stove for a few mins. Once cooled, and this will probably sound crazy, but I actually enjoy the process of seasoning it before the next use. Very zen lol. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
