I am a fan of the matte version but these have recently risen to the top of the sketch pile. Softer than the 602 and smears less than the matte. Well done!

This was a gift to a pencil holdout enthusiast who has multiple desks throughout a one-story home. She received them with great enthusiasm and great appreciation. They are worth the cost for their feel, well-known history, and she was out of them before my gift!

Can you pay more for a pencil?

I find a good pencil makes me more creative when trying to write. Blackwings graphite choices fit different styles. It is a fairly cheap indulgence in the scope of things. 5 stars for the product -1 for the price.
