A great pair of old-fashioned rugby shorts

These are a simple pair of heavyweight cotton shorts with pockets - just what I wanted and just like the rugby shorts of the ’80’s. Note that although there’s some elastic in the wait, the tie-coard needs to be tied to keep them up, making them a little more of a nuisance for day-to-day casual wear. It would be nice if there could be a little more elastication so they’d stay up without the tie cord (like in Carta’s “New Zealand” style shorts). But they sit right on me and I’ll get more when these wear out - which will be quite a while as they’re very hard-wearing.
