Power House 48v 32ah Lithium Battery

An update to my 5/11/26 review

I know this will sound like one of those "is it plugged in?" things, but maybe it will prevent someone from making a big mistake like I almost did by thinking I had an issue with my motor. Not shown in the picture on this web page or the manual are two circular components on the top of the battery. The black capped one is for connecting multiple batteries together, the silver one is a power switch. I had been using the battery for months without realizing that it even had a power switch. The battery was delivered powered on. In the Bluetooth App, it is referred to as "Discharging Switch" and the app shows the status (you may need to refresh). I'm not sure if I inadvertently pushed the power switch or it automatically shuts off, but I had gone weeks between usage without needing to turn it on. Anyway, Power House staff was very helpful and patient helping me.

More power than expected

I bought 2 of the 32ah to hopefully substitute for the 100ah Epoch I bought last year. I have to lift the battery into the boat every time I go out, and the Epoch's 66 lbs is just too much for me. The 2x32ah in parallel used 47% of charge to push my 10.5 foot inflatable 6 statute miles. That compares to 8 sm using 50%-55% of the charge on the 100ah Epoch. In other words, the 2x32ah delivered somewhat more power (in terms of range) than the 64% of the Epoch you would expect. Also at 100% power (3 kw) the 32ah provided noticeably higher speed.

Impressed

Bluetooth technology is a game changer. So far I have been really impressed with the battery. Using it with a Epropolsion EVO on a 16 foot pontoon. It's nice to get out on the water again. Ran it down under 30% and it fully charged back up in about 2 hours.
