The Brynne Dress | Moss

Beautiful color and fabric feel! I wish the drawstring wasn’t ribbon though. :(

The thickness of the fabric and diamond effect of this Brynne is lovely! I love the attention to detail with the peekaboo lace underneath the skirt and sleeves. I also love the lace detail on the neckline. I do feel the neckline sits a little lower than other Brynnes, which I don’t like as much. The reason I decided to return this dress is due to the ribbon drawstring, although lovely, they are very flimsy and seem to twist and wrinkle within the ribbon channel. I’m concerned it will start to fray over time.

Lovely but delicate

This is not my first Brynne, so I knew what to expect for the fit. For reference, I am 5'10" with a 37" bust, 33" waist, and 47" hip. The bust on the Brynnes is always a bit too big on me, but I like the fit of the medium better than the fit of the small. The moss rendition is a stunning version. The lace details feel really special. However, the neckline is a bit too delicate for my preference. It's not enough to take a star off, or for me to forego wearing and loving it, but it is something to be aware of. Unlike my other Brynnes, this version has the neckline tie woven though bits of the lace instead of encased in a bias tape. While it looks beautiful with the green ribbon showing through, I do worry about the longevity of the neckline. Fortunately, I have some skill with a needle and a sewing machine if I need to mend it in the future, but I want to make others aware of this. Besides that, it's perfect.
