Well worth the time and effort

The center portion and border are crocheted as two separate pieces. I didn't know this before purchasing the pattern. I thought the center portion was quite easy. The border more complicated; however if you take your time and follow the directions "carefully," you'll be glad you chose this pattern. It was considerably easier to assemble than expected. It is quite beautiful and worth the time and effort.

I don’t know if the directions could be clearer, but if I did not keep a written memo as to where I was, I would be lost, especially at the corners. Still working on the edging, it seems to fit at first corner, hopefully it will come out right. Seeing the pattern I thought the Amethyst yarn (several skeins given to me) would be fine. I would maybe have done a different color.
