Pedal Strike Solution for 175mm cranks.

I have a Large Santa Cruz Tallboy that came with 175mm cranks. My area is filled with chunky technical climbs and that low bottom bracket causes me to hit everything. I was apprehensive about the switch to 165mm but the pros heavily outweigh the cons. I found myself cleaning up climbs that I was unable to before and as a result, way less hike a biking. I have a lot more confidence hitting tech climbs now. I do feel a little less leverage vs 175mm cranks but the difference is negligible in my opinion. I still haven’t found a steep section I couldn’t pedal over due to the 10mm difference. The switch is worth it if you’re pedal striking a lot and don’t want to change your bike’s geometry to a high setting.
