It smooths & streamlines the body, particularly any bumps or areas you want to sit more neatly under clothing. As for actually reducing or cinching the waistline, I think the results would be more noticeable on an already smaller frame or a relatively flat or empty stomach. Otherwise, the effect is fairly subtle. It's comfortable enough once on & would be great underneath a fitted garment. It's not practical when going to the bathroom. Getting in & out of it is a little laborious & while there is an opening, realistically, it's not an option, especially when wearing underwear. Overall, it's good shapewear for smoothing & streamlining, but I wouldn't expect the dramatic waist-cinching results you sometimes see advertised online.

Top quality and comfortable shapewear.

Really happy with this. No rolling of fabric as with other shapewear. Customer service was excellent with Plie reaching out before sending my order because they weren't sure if I had ordered the appropriate size and wanted to confirm.

First Time in Shapewear

It is very comfortable and doesnt roll up on the lg. I feel supported and can wear without a bra. One issue though is the toilet opening is not quite as long as my other Plie Shapewear piece - which I find great to use. I do not know if this is a fault with this particular piece or if it is all the Emana Body pieces as opposed to the other styles.
