Plumb bobs

The hole through which the string passes ends with a 90 degree bend. I tried and tried but could not get the floppy string to exit this 90 degree bend. I ended up using a very thin wire and bending in a tight loop. I then pushed the thin wire loop backwards through the hole. This allowed me to capture the string with the wire loop and pull the it all the way through.
