Gold-Filled Scapular Necklace — Our Lady of Mount Carmel (18")

Nice Item, but with Proviso

I am male, age 47. Please see attached photos: I wanted to show this item in size relation to a man's hand (first), a "close-up" (second), and if worn (third). It seems well-made, but I haven't worn it (except this one time, to take the demonstration photo). According to the Sisters of Carmel, a wool scapular is what should be worn unless there is cause not to. I didn't know that before purchase, and feel it should have been mentioned by Guadalupe Gifts. Since I attend Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, I will probably give it to my priest to see if it can be donated to someone that might have cause that I do not have: perhaps an elderly parishioner or someone allergic to wool.
