American BMX Company Drop Out Armor

Expensive, but completely solves an avoidable problem

These work great when they work (5 stars). However, when they don't work well (1 star), they're a pain in the [*tail*]! Sometimes, when you buy a set of Drop-Out Armor, their 3/8" openings flex and become more narrow when you install them, and this causes the 3/8" Axle to have a hard time sliding in and out. When this happens, you have to use a mallet. I've had this happen to maybe 3 of 6 sets. It might not happen to you. It might be an isolated thing, but I am just mentioning to be truthful and as a caveat. I think maybe I just maybe got some from a bad batch. Just to reiterate, when they do work (most times), they're a 5 of 5 stars.
