Assam: Khongea Estate

Really good unflavored tea. I admit I have been mostly flavored LTM teas in the past. Decided to expand my tea horizons. Such a smooth taste. I bought a 4 oz; but I'm going to have to come back for a 16oz soon.

Must try Assam: Khongea Estate

My experience with Assam is that it is usually a very bold and Malty flavor. Many too heavy for my pallet. I absolutely love this Assam. A 3 minute brew creates a medium liqueur with a mild and flavor taste. I am drinking thisevery morning now.

This recent batch has me hooked

I have gotten this Assam tea a few times in the past from LTM but never has it wowed me as much as it has this time. Definitely rich and malty but also a nice nuanced bright fruity element. I'm not sure what year this batch is from. I'm guessing 2023? That would be my feedback to the team. Putting harvest date info on the packaging would be ideal. I'm a major fan of Mei Leaf's SCOPE system and wish more tea providers would adopt it. Regardless, great tea and I hope to find it matches this year's quality, or gets even better, in years to come.
