Sizing is off

I’m used to hats being too big to fit the circumference of my head, but oddly enough this hat is too big in that it sits too low on my head. It literally covers 1/3 of my ears instead of sitting above my ear line. I have to tuck my ears into the hat (which looks so weird) or the hat will fold over them and then they stick out like dumbo. It’s the weirdest thing. I really wanted to love this hat, but the sizing is off and I’ve already cut the tags off and worn it…
