Recycled Silk Yarn "Spice Market"

Fun, but different.

I like this yarn, but the quality of each ball can vary depending on the spinner. Some of it is so even and consistent that Arachne herself would be proud, and some looks like it was done by students in a beginner's class. I guess you have to start somewhere. I had to play around with it to figure it out. Do yourself a favor and watch the DGY tutorials before you start. I wish I had. I made this poncho and doubled up with scrap yarn every few rows to add warmth and strength. I didn't use a pattern, and it's too big. I didn't do my math correctly, and then overdid the blocking. It's heavy, but I like that. It will probably grow and then, I will have to figure out how to fix it or frog it and start over. I used about 11 balls, so it isn't a cheap project. Start small and have fun!

I like the colors and the feel of the yarn. It’s actually quite soft.

Love this yarn

This yarn has an extremely organic feel to it. Some sections are wound very tight and thin, while others are more thick. The colors are randomized and fun. It's a very heavy yarn also, but it's always fun to see the random colours you get since you can't choose what you get. Definitely awesome for those who like a surprise.
