Ray Tubes Select 12AT7

For my PrimaLuna (PL) EVO 100 integrated amp, I bought a matched quad of Ray Tube (RT) Select EL 34’s, a matched pair of RT Select 12 AX7’s, and a matched pair of RT Select 12 AU7’s. For my PL EVO 100 V2 phono preamp, I bought a matched pair of RT Select EL 34’s and a matched quad of RT Select 12 AX7’s. I was so thoroughly blown away by the performance of these tubes that I purchased a matched pair of RT Select 12 AT7’s for the MC section of the PL phono preamp. I can’t really describe how great these tubes are. First, they’re the most quiet tubes I’ve ever owned, and I own some very pricey NOS Telefunken, Brimar, GE, and National small signal tubes. Second, no tube I’ve ever owned has sounded as precise, open, and airy as the RT’s. Finally, there is essentially no distortion or top-end fizz in these tubes. They’re unbelievable. They are a little more pricey than current production tubes, but they are actually made for music reproduction. So, I feel they’re totally worth the price. Also, when was the last time anyone offered you a warranty on vacuum tubes? That’s confidence in a great product. I’m selling all my other tubes. I’ll only buy Ray Tubes as long as I can get them.
