Design fail!
I have one of the original Rain backpacks. It’s my favorite backpack I’ve ever owned. The new style is too big and bulky. The new style has a cloth back and there is no drawstring waterproof closure under the flap like on the original model. Based on the gaps at the side, it does not seem like it would protect the contents from rain. I bought this one for my daughter and returned it as I think it is a disappointing design fail compared to my original that I still use and love.
