Nordstrand 51P4S Pickup

Balanced on 7.25" radius fingerboard, dead quiet, has what I consider to be the best 51 SCPB pickup tone. I do have a nice set of Bornes Audio Taper mini pots, a Duncan Treble Bleed circuit on the volume and a Sprague Orange Drop .033 capacitor on the tone control. The Bass had a .1 uf capacitor originally, but that was too much tubbiness! Nordstrand 51P4S is highly recommended.

Quiet, Classic Sound

Dead quiet, which I'm guessing is the main reason you would buy this. Still sounds like a classic pickup with a touch more clarity. Seems to be a signature of several classic Nordstrand pickup designs. This is in my Fender AV II 54' Precision. The original pickup was fairly noisy even when completely shielded and the output was uneven from string to string. The 51P4S solved all my problems, was an easy drop in and still looks like a classic pickup. All good, no bad.
