It is a little tricky and took me a few tries until I understood it and I have been crocheting for 60 years. Don't miss the part about skipping the stitch behind the front post stitch. Use stitch markers on the corner points. Count backwards from the stitch markers to start the rounds in the correct stitch. Read carefully on Row 5 as sometimes the front post is on a treble and sometimes it is on a double crochet. I helps to print that round out and mark off each little set of stitches until you have done a few motifs and learn what it looks like. This pattern is not difficult, however it takes a lot of focus on the "problem" row.
