If you get it for yourself, it does the trick! But the cover came to me misprinted, with the spiral going through the text, so I'd never give it as a present. It's usable for my own needs, though, and I'm glad I could get it with a spiral binding where I can actually read the recipes (the first time I got the book was from Amazon, and it was unreadable).

Gives great info Re the Mediterrean diet. Recipes are not complicated. Pages would clean easily if spilled on. Love the Lay it Flat concept of the book.
