Alex Crepe Dress - Navy

The dress material is nice, and the sizing chart was extremely accurate, but the fit of the dress due to the nature of it is odd and not particularly comfortable on myself. The sizing is very true to the measurements, but as a very tall female, long legs, long torso, the slit of the dress comes up very high on myself, an inch or two away from crotch height. Due to the broadness of my shoulders I thought it would be fine that the straps are towards the ends of your shoulders, but they will more than likely fall off my shoulders multiple times in the night, and the straps to armpit are tight and uncomfortable. The neckline of the dress isn't flattering on myself particularly with an awkward height that shows the top of your cleavage crack. The color of the dress does look more like black in lighting that isn't very bright, or the natural sunlight. Due to my height naturally the dress is too short for me as it falls about 5-6 inches above the ground and about 2-3 inches above my ankle making my shoes very visable.

Such a simple and beautiful dress and the bows add the perfect amount of detail it needed. Everyone did have to shorten the straps for a secure fit but that was all it needed for alterations. Loved it!

Not Impressed

Honestly, I can't say that I'm super impressed with the whole experience with Birdy Grey. it took forever for it to ship, which I was prepared for, but when it was shipped there was no tracking, in fact the website said that my order did not exist at all. It took me reaching out to customer service to make sure that it was coming at all. The dress itself is pretty unflattering and super heavy, but that it all down to taste and since I didn't have a choice in this particular style, its neither here nor there. It just doesn't do my body any favors.
