Fun, but lacks polish.
Everything the LUMEN system sets out to do, it does flawlessly. It's fast, easy to learn, and fun to play. But the game is lacking polish. There are a handful of distracting writing errors throughout. The books enemy selection is a little light and lacking in variety, all of which can be solved with the $2 dusk denizens expansion, so not a big deal. Half the classes don't really fit the theme, which isn't really a problem, but it just feels weird. Some of the classes are not balanced at all and may require some nerfing on your part. But overall, it's a fun game that will only occasionally leave you scratching your head. My players thoroughly enjoyed it (one even told me he liked it multiple times during the game), and I enjoyed running it.
