EIBOS 3D Filament Dryer Polyphemus

Excellent Filament Dryer, especially with the 3kg extension. The feature that keeps the RH% by only turning on once the threshold is met is quite nice. I will purchase another one in the near future.

This is the perfect solution to drying out filament. I use it especially for ABS because i can put it in a seperate place that is well ventilated. EIBOS did a great job engineering this little work horse!!!

I have a prior EIBOS dryer and enjoy the design. When I needed a dryer for the 3kg rolls, I went straight to EIBOS. The basic design appeared the same with some improvements such as auto rotating, descent storage areas, and preprogrammed heating cycles. I struggle with a couple features using cardboard spools. The auto rotation ends up sending the spool to one side where it binds on the roller bearing housing and causes the motor to snap and skip terribly. I also found that new rolls are so full that they bottom out on the middle roller bearing housing. When I spool off filament when it's in the dryer, I run into similar issues with the roll going to one side and binding. Also, the roller that is connected to the motor is not free spinning and creates enough friction to prevent the spool from rotating. This can cause a missed layer or the whole print to fail. In summary, I like the dryer as a dryer, but it's not working well for feeding from. It will need modifications.
