Excellent upgrade, higher drain

The screen is excellent. Placement in the console is very good, the ribbon does need a delicate touch and some double sided tape to get just right. This screen is power hungry, as you should already expect, and will inhale batteries. Probably best to do any power system upgrades before undertaking this mod, but you'll be glad you did. Be careful with the ribbons, there's no replacing the one attached to the screen.

Good Screen but Poorly Designed Kit

Screen is very clear, colorful, and bright. A plastic bracket is supplied to seat the screen against the front shell, but this bracket pinches the screen's ribbon cable. This caused my screen to stop working after about 20 minutes. I admit it is the user's responsibility to do any necessary trimming, and the bracket can easily be trimmed to not pinch the cable. Even so, you would think that the bracket that is sold with the screen would, I don't know, maybe work with the screen out of the box.
