I waited a while before reviewing this because internet purchases often look great at first and break later. I am hard on my jewelry and wear it 24/7. Consequently, the black acrylic in this ring is beginning to chip. That is largely my fault and I expected it to happen. Someone who takes better care of jewelry will likely not experience this. I purchased the ring anyhow because I know from past experience with rings of this type that it will still look stunning after the acrylic is gone, thanks to the engraved/embossed design. But this ring is better than the one I lost. My previous spinner ring just sort of turned. This one actually spins. I could feel a little texture between the pieces when it was brand new, but that has worn smooth and it spins even better now--a solid 2-3 seconds after cleaning. And it's easy to clean. Just a little soap and water will get rid of whatever tacky, gritty substance is slowing it down, including pancake syrup, engine oil, and fine granules of sand. Finally, this ring is thicker and made of more metal than my previous ring, but not so much as to make it uncomfortable between the fingers. I expect it to last me the rest of my life...if I don't lose it.
