Timor-Leste, Dili - Gourmet Vanilla Beans - Grade A

Ask about freshness before you buy.

Timor Leste is my favorite. My first order contained fresh oily pliable beans. My recent order contained beans that were so dried out they snapped like pretzels. So disappointing! It might be best to inquire about the freshness of these beans before you buy them. In all fairness, Native Vanilla did offer to swap my dried Timor beans for a different type. But since Timor is my favorite, I will go ahead and use them. Just wish I didn’t pay full price.

This won't be the last time I order these beans!

When I first opened the package the smell was so amazing and I knew right away I would love them. I don't care for smoky beans and these were not like that at all. Even though they are planifolia variety, there was a hint of brightness that comes with a tahitensis bean but still had a wonderful warm rich smell too. They felt a little dry and honestly looked a little woody but when I opened them, they were chock full of oil and caviar. I am not even embarrassed to say I tasted some and it tasted great right off my knife, which is not typical! This was the first time I ordered these beans but it surely will not be the last time. I might have a new favorite bean!!! Thank you Native Vanilla for such a wonderful product!
